All the images on this page are shot with a Sigma Merrill. Shot at low ISO a Merrill has resolution equal to medium format digital or a plate film camera. The extremely unusual sensor produces images that look like film rather than digital (in particular they keep saturation going into highlights the way that film does) and excels at reproducing fine three dimensional detail like hair and fabric texture.
Each example will be given as at least a pair of images. The first will be a reduced size version of the original (these are much too large for easy web use) and the second will be a one to one crop from the original. In some cases there may be more than one of these detail shots.
